Breakedown Comp

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

This images are for Composition. I learn this way by using Shake for composition of whole shots. I just want to make it more easy to control after I render them out. I am glad I learn it from teachers and classmates and friends in pretty short time. My friend Wen-Chin helped me a lot for lighting and composition. I am really appreciated her help.

  • Two months for texture and final environment models
  • Ten months for animating.
  • One week for character texture
  • One week for testing and learning Cloth Simulation
  • One weeks for Cloth Simulation
  • Two weeks for lighting
  • One week for setting rendering

    Rending Whole shots

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

I went to school almost whole week for rendering my short. The most difficult part for me is to set up for render because I easily to make some wrong setup of render. So if I did wrong setup, I need render again that shots. It is really sad and frustrated. My plan is to use there days for whole render but it took one week. Eventually, I did all of them. Next step will comp them to next week.

    Final render shot

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

I spend almost three weeks to test render and texture of character and also I did a lot tests for render. Finally I decide The final render style.

My adviser, Tom, give me suggestion that is to do one shot for rendering one shot for seeing the final animation. I will do next week.

    First render test

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

Today I just got a image for whole of shot. It is really hard when you do something you are not really familiar with it. Lighting is a different thing what I thought. Lighting need cooperate with texture and shader. My shader have some problems with lighting pass in to geometry and light inside of her mouth. I need use texture to make it dark.

    Finishing two models and textures

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

I spent there day to modify and add texture to the truck. Finally I finish it. Good new for the next step. Ialso change shots have truck. I replace the old one and add subtle animation for truck to make it look realistic, not just like one box move. I hope it will help my whole animation quality.

Modify truck to a little different

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

Modify the truck to a little different.

I try to make a truck in my story more details and I almost finish the texture. But the most difficult part is how to make the reflection of mirror on window of the truck. I come up some idea but I still need try. The first is use texture, the second is using metal ray to render only refection and compositing the different layers.

    Finish clothing simulation

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

I am pretty satisfied about ncloth. I spent one week studying and one week did whole clothes shots simulation. Even thorough some problems happened, I still can find a way to solve the problems. I am glad I can finished cloth simulation pretty quickly and I did finish it.

Now I am going to some texture and modify a truck model in next week. And also I need do uv map for the dog and bird. I hope I can finish one week.

    The first test for Ncloth

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

That is good tool for clothes simulation but I still need time to learn more to understand how to use it for overcoming problems.
Basically I got some good result but I want to make it more nice look so I will do some test and study some ways to achieve it.

    Note for ncloth testing shots

    Thickness = 0.118

    Bend Resistance = 1

    damp collide = 0.2

shrink some shots in my story

Posted in Production Notes by Rung

I got some comments from Raman to shrink in the middle of my story. After I did some change, the film looks more intense. I like new version story and I also change some animation in some shots he mentioned the root is too stick. I think it works pretty well. Thanks Raman talked time to see my short animated film.
