The first test for Ncloth

That is good tool for clothes simulation but I still need time to learn more to understand how to use it for overcoming problems.
Basically I got some good result but I want to make it more nice look so I will do some test and study some ways to achieve it.

shrink some shots in my story

I got some comments from Raman to shrink in the middle of my story. After I did some change, the film looks more intense. I like new version story and I also change some animation in some shots he mentioned the root is too stick. I think it works pretty well. Thanks Raman talked time to see my short animated film.

The Ncloth testing now is going to well. Not like the first time I tested, I figure out a way to do my character to make them look good. I am going to do the my shots for cloth simulation today. Hope it will also have some good result for my short film.

The begin of Cloth simulation from this week. The most difficult is that I haven’t use Ncloth before so I need try to understand all of base concept of Ncloth and do a lot of tests and then get what I want effect of cloth.

Do the Wrap first and go to cloth simulation.
select face to be disable collisions.

Sketch for doggy’s running

Sketch for doggy’s running
I took a video for dog’s running and then I think I need draw main post for base running. I look some dog’s normal running but that is for big dogs. My dog is small so I need find a way to make the running smooth and look right. That helps me a lot when I start animate dog’s running.

Polishing Chi

I am going to spend two weeks to polish Chi but I am not going to do very details for everything. Polishing is very last step for animation part. When I am doing demo reel for pixar classes, I begin to realize more about how to polish a good shot. It is really tough task and boring that should has a lot of patient and good eyes. I read a article of SplineDocter. I think he talk about how to train eyes of animators will help a lot new animators.

Dog’s Running Reference

This is the reference of small doggy’s runing for my project.

Timing of he basic dog’s running is 5 frames. The difficult part of running is legs of dogs. I spent a lot of time to adjust legs to make it to right.

The final texture of this semester

I am satisfied textures of the village now. But I worry about the light and composing later. The light still a lot questions there. Hope I can overcome that.
